Does God Build With Weak Things?

Does God Build With Weak Things?

The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.”

Genesis 12:1-2 NIV

We all have doubts, don’t we? When circumstances get too big or expectations seem different from what we want, doubts start creeping in. What if this isn’t the right thing? What if I heard God wrong? What if I make a huge mistake? What if I totally fail my kids and they end up living in a van down by the river?

We get scared, don’t we? We’re no different than anyone else. We all like to feel in control of every part of our lives and it’s hard to surrender that control. It’s hard to say, “I trust you, no matter what.”

I’m sure you realize by now that one of the few constants in life is that things will always change. Sorry about using that word. You probably like “change” as much as the next person. We hate change. It leaves us feeling unsettled, unsure, and insecure as we try to find new footing in different circumstances. But the thing about moving forward is that it requires venturing into new, uncharted territory.

Do you ever feel like God is holding a big megaphone saying, “Hey, you! YES, YOU OF LITTLE FAITH. I have a plan.”

Abram had no idea what God had in store for hm. His mind couldn’t imagine what God was going to do. And yet he packed up his camels, his turbans, and everything he had, loaded up his family, and headed to a strange land. He was the original

Grapes of Wrath story. How could he do that? In one word . . . FAITH. He had faith that God wasn’t going to do him wrong. He had faith that God wasn’t going to lead him to a place with no provision for him and his family. His faith in God’s promises allowed him to step out into the unknown.

I’m not sure where life is headed this year, but by faith, I know God is already there. I’m determined to trust God’s plan. The voice of destiny is God’s voice. What about you? Do you believe that God has your best interests in mind? Are you willing to trust His way first?

God, the chief architect and builder is asking us to step out in faith, trusting His way. And yes, He can, indeed, use our weak faith to build a mighty thing from our little lives. If we trust Him to lead the way into the unknown.

There’s my challenge for you, my friend. Trust God as He leads you into the unknown of 2026. Follow closely on His heals. Keep your ears tuned to His voice. And believe, in faith, that He knows the way ahead.
