Lost Your Passion?

Lost Your Passion?

My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Psalm 84:2, NIV

Do you ever feel that one day blurs into the next? Do you ever feel like you wake up and just go through the motions until you go to bed and then do it all over again the next day? I probably don’t need to tell you that life’s mundane routines will do their best to suck your passion right out of your life and make you accept your less-than-excited posture as your new normal.

Have you noticed lately that there are people surrounding you who really care about you? And how’s your prayer life? Are you consistently praying for those in your spheres of influence that just aren’t as well off as you are? The Holy Spirit has a unique ability to meet you in any area of your life, to revive your spirit, and to reinvigorate your passion for where you are today. In fact, I’ll go out on a limb and say that a passionate Christ-follower is a physical representation of hope in this often-hopeless world.

When you allow the hope of heaven to rekindle your passion, you’ll find a refreshed yearning to show up, to serve with joy, and to see the goodness of the Lord no matter what your circumstances might be.

So don’t just settle for a monotonous life when God’s best is available to you! Let Christ rekindle your passion and remind you of the rich purpose that just happens to be where your feet are going today!

Remember, a passionate spirit is proof of a life anchored on God’s great promises. Surely you don’t want less than God’s best for you and yours! Or do you?
