"Letting Jesus Live Through You”

     “ I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Galatians 2:20 NIV

         What’s troubling you today? What concern is consuming you with fear and doubt? Do you realize that it’s not your place to worry about that situation? I’m writing to tell you that everything that concerns you is Christ’s responsibility to care for rather than yours. Do you realize that your job is to simply obey Him? It was David who wrote, “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life. You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes; with your right hand you save me. The Lord will vindicate me; your love, Lord, endures forever—do not abandon the works of your hands” (Psalm 138:7-8).

         Many people dream of getting an unexpected inheritance from a wealthy relative. As a believer in Jesus, you’re the heir of the most lavish inheritance any person could ever dream to receive! Paul said, ““What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him—” (1 Corinthians 2:9). The inheritance waiting for you from Jesus is so vast, so tremendous that you can’t even understand it with your finite mind. 

         If you don’t understand this truth, you’ll keep being distracted by issues that were never yours to worry about. And, what’s more, you’ll keep missing out on the blessings of God’s promised abundant life for you. So here’s what I want you to do . . . allow Jesus to live His life in and through you!

         God’s not calling you to live an adequate life. He wants your life to be extraordinary. But if you’re going to experience that kind of life, you need to stop being distracted by surrounding issues and focus your attention completely on Him.

         The God who rescued you can teach you how to live for Him. The Lord who forgave your sins and gives you a home in heaven can surely take care of all those situations that are threatening to pull you down. The Savior whom you trusted for your eternity is more than capable of taking care of all those matters that burden you each day. But you need to hand them over . . . hand over your worries to the One who created the universe. Then, you’ll be able to experience true life in Him!

Praying that you’ll hand over those worries to the One who made you and knows you!
