MISSION SPOT LIGHT

FRUITBELT FARMWORKER CHRISTIAN MINISTRY

FFCM is a mission serving the spiritual, social and physical needs of the migrant workers in south-central PA. The ministry was formed in 1989 when the migrant committees of Adams, Franklin & Cumberland counties came together to help fulfill the needs of these migrant workers. Each year over 2,500 workers help on 130 farms with the harvest of apples, peaches, cherries and pears. The workers come from Mexico, Haiti, Jamaica, Honduras & Guatemala and stain in over 400 camps in the area.

FCCM helps to provide personal care kits, jackets, blankets, hats & gloves, along with many other clothing needs to the workers. They build relationships with them and most importantly provide spiritual care. One of the things the workers request most is prayer... prayer for them and prayer for their families. They have many, may workers who give their lives to Jesus after hearing the message of salvation.

We here at Mt. Laurel support this amazing mission by providing monetary donations along with clothing, especially sweatshirts, baseball caps, blankets and personal care items from our Community Clothing Closet. We are proud to partners with FFCM in continuing their ministry pf spreading the love of Christ to these workers who all come from countries of great poverty.
